Dr. Xu Manshu is a distinguished research fellow from Center for International Cyberspace Governance, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. She is a retired senior colonel from National Defense University, PLA. Her research focuses on crisis management and cybersecurity strategy. She holds the bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Master's degree in Operations and Doctor’s degree in Military Strategy from the graduate school of NDU, PLA. She attended the Sino-US track-2 cyber security dialogues in Beijing and ARF workshop on cyber confidence building measures in Malaysia. She was a guest researcher for the Silk Road Studies Program in Uppsala University, Sweden in May of 2007, and for the conflict prevention project in EastWest Institute’s Brussels Centre in 2008, and for the UK-China military cooperation in Non-traditional security project in Nottingham University in the UK in 2011.
