On January 12-13, 2022, the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies organized a new round of China-US Dialogue on the Global Economic Order in collaboration with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE). Professor CHEN Dongxiao, President of SIIS, Mr. Matthew P. Goodman, Senior Vice President for Economics of CSIS and Dr. Adam S. Posen, President of PIIE made opening and closing remarks on behalf of the three organizers. Over 20 Chinese and American scholars from Institute of World Economics and Politics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IWEP-CASS), Peking University, Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD), University of International Business and Economics, Fudan University, SIIS, CSIS, PIIE, Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), Boston University, Center for Global Development, Syracuse University, Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), etc. engaged in a lively discussion on challenges for global economic governance and areas where the U.S. and China can cooperate or coordinate action in macro, development and trade.
