On January 18, 2021, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with Mr.Rakhymzhan Rakhimov, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shanghai.  The two sides had in-depth exchanges on China-Kazakhstan relations, the strengthening of academic exchanges and cooperation between Shanghai and Kazakhstan, and exchanged views on transregional dialogue and cooperation, the international situation under the influence of COVID-19 epidemic, and the prospect of China-US relations etc. Ms. Zhu Juhua, Director of the Department of International Exchanges, Dr. Qiang Xiaoyun, Director of the Center for Russian & Central Asia Studies, and Dr. Zhao Long, Assistant Director of the Institute for Global Governance Studies participated in the meeting.
