On April 17, 2020, a video conference on International Cooperation on Pandemic Control and China-US Relations was held at Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. This conference was chaired by Professor Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council, and participated by SIIS President Chen Dongxiao and Dr.Shao Yuqun,director of the Institute for Taiwan Hong Kong & Macao Studies. American participant is Douglas Paal, vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, former senior director and special assistant to the President.Participants have in-depth discussions on International Cooperation on Pandemic Control and China-US Relations. Both sides agree that China and the United States should combine international cooperation in the fight against epidemic and the maintenance Sino-US relations.
