On January 15, 2020, Mr. Yuya Watase, President of the Pacific Alliance Institute visited SIIS and exchanged views on China-US relations and China- Japan relations with Dr. Wu Chunsi, Director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies, Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Studies, Prof. Wu Jinan, President of the Shanghai Society of Japanese Studies, and SIIS post-doctor Jiang Xudong.
