On December 6, 2019, a delegation from Expediency Discernment Council of Iran visited Shanghai Institutes for International Studies and had a discussion on dynamics of Middle East and signed MoU. Prof. Yan Anlin, Vice President of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies moderated the discussion, and Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council gave a lecture on Xi Jinping Thought on Foreign Affairs. Dr. Wu Chunsi from the Institute for International Strategic Studies, Dr. Li Weijian and Dr. Jin Liangxiang from the Center for West Asian & African Studies, Dr. Zhang Pei from the Department of International Exchanges, and Dr. Qiang Xiaoyun from the Center for Russian & Central Asia Studies joined the meeting.
