On Sep. 3rd, 2019, SIIS and Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS, Indonesia) co-held the International Conference on “Relationship between China and Asia/Indo-Pacific Countries & the Taiwan Question” in Jakarta.

SIIS Vice President Yan Anlin and CSIS Vice Chair Mr. Jusuf Wanandi delivered the opening remarks.

The conference invited more than 20 experts, including Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), Jawaharlal Nehru University(India), Victoria University of Wellington（NewZealand），Nanyang Technological University （Singapore), University of Technology Sydney（Australia）,Indonesian Institute of Sciences, China Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) . Participants had in-depth discussion on The Relationship between China and Asia/Indo-Pacific Countries ,Current Status of Cross-Strait Relations and the Chinese Mainland's Policy to Taiwan, Current Status of the Relationship between Taiwan and the Asia/Indo-Pacific Countries.
